HF-360A Culligan Whole House Filter Review
Culligan, a company that specializes in delivering filtered water to our doorsteps, has brought to market a well designed and affordable whole house filtration system.
It has a few impressive features and overall, it works just as it should without any headaches. The only gripe we had is that it doesn’t include a mounting bracket so be sure to pick one up at the same time as the filter unit – add to your cart now.
The patented Valve-in-Head technology is impressively convenient and makes filter changes quick and easy. Simply give a half turn of the valve to stop the water supply from flowing through the unit, swap out the old filter with a new one then turn the valve back on.
It also has a built in pressure relief valve and dynamically sealing, self cleaning o-rings that also assist in easy unscrewing of the housing using the included housing wrench.
The package includes a P5 sediment filter to get you set up and filtering right away. It uses standard 10 inch filters so if the included cartridge isn’t right for your filtration needs, you have a ton of options. The unit head and housing are what really matters and this is a high quality unit at a competitive price.
Like the DuPont WFPF38001C, another feature that can’t be overlooked is the clear housing. Although all filters have a recommended standard time of when to replace the filter – usually every 3 months – this isn’t always necessary for everyone. Everybody’s situation is different – everyone’s water supply is different in every municipality and the amount of water that every house uses is different. 3 months may be way too often to replace filters and in that case it’s wasting money. The clear housing give you a gauge of whether or not the filter is dirty enough that it needs to be replaced. It’s much better than the units that aren’t clear and the only way to know for sure is to undo the unit and pull the filter out.
And last but not least, this Culligan whole house water filtration system is a compact size and can alternately be an under sink water filter.
All in all, this is a highly recommended and popular item. You get great bang for your buck and won’t be disappointed.
